Titans is a web television series based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name, developed by Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, and Akiva Goldsman. The series' first season premiered on October 12, 2018, and concluded on December 21, 2018. The second season premiered on September 6, 2019, and concluded on November 29, 2019. The third season officially premiered on August 12, 2021 and concluded on October 21, 2021. Part 1 of the fourth and final season premiered on November 3rd, 2022, and concluded on December 1, 2022.[1][2]Part 2 of the season premiered on April 13, 2023, and concluded on May 11, 2023, ending the series.

Synopsis[]

Titans follows a group of young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and fight evil in a darker take on the classic Teen Titans narrative. The group features Dick Grayson, a conflicted retired superhero sidekick, and Rachel Roth, a young girl tormented by her mysterious demonic powers and a cult hell-bent on her capture. Joining them are the hot-headed alien protector, Starfire, and loveable shape-shifting outcast, Beast Boy.

  • In the Arrowverse crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths", Titans universe was designated as Earth-9 in both the original and new multiverses.
  • Casey Lee Williams, known for providing soundtrack vocals on shows such as RWBY and Red Vs Blue, received a credit for her work on the scores of several episodes throughout seasons 1 and 2.
  • On August 22, 2020 DC Fandome hosted a BAWSE Females of Color Within the DC Universe Panel, which included Anna Diop and Damaris Lewis.[3]
    • Anna Diop references the backlash of her casting, which meant she had to rely on her faith, friends and family. She mentions that it’s great seeing that people from marginalized groups can relate to her.[3]
  • Titans has a spin-off titled Doom Patrol; The season 1 episode "Doom Patrol" was used as a backdoor pilot to launch the Doom Patrol series. This series was originally intended to occur in the same universe (Earth-9) as Titans, however due to creative choices it was moved to its own individual universe (Earth-21).
  • Teagan Croft is the only series regular to appear in all episodes of Seasons 1 and 4.
  • Brenton Thwaites is the only series regular to appear in all episodes of Season 2.
  • No series regular appeared in all episodes of Season 3.
