The Confessor, real name unknown, was a resident of Metropolis. He was a member of the Organization and later became an acolyte of the Church of Blood loyal to May Bennett.

Biography

At some point in his life, the Confessor became a cult member of the Organization charged with the control of the inmates of the Asylum. Eighteen years after the birth of Sebastian Sanger, he pleaded with May to cease her blasphemy against Trigon for insisting her son is his chosen one, and reluctantly tortured her using the same black snakes that would come to be her signature weapon. In 2019, Koriand'r burned down most of the upper levels of the Asylum as she and the Titans escaped the Organization's custody. The Confessor was guarding May's cell at the time, and was given a gas mask by Gina at May's behest despite him having tortured her in the past.

May's actions saving his life led to him becoming loyal to her, referring to her as 'Mother', and a devout member of the Church of Blood. He warns May that the blood moon is turning pale, and that they have little time left; encouraging her to get Sebastian to begin his transition into Brother Blood. He then hacks into LexCorp's server at May's order, as she suspects she knows who is causing the moon to pale and how; this hack allows Conner Kent to locate the temple before the other Titans. When the Titans eventually arrive to rescue Conner and Sebastian, the Confessor fights Dick Grayson one-on-one.
