"Nuclear Mom" (died 2018) was the matriarch of a brainwashed "family" that used drugs to enhance their physical capabilities.

Biography

Being "activated" one day, the family travelled from their home in St. Louis to Detroit, in pursuit of a specific girl, Rachel Roth. The family found Detective Amy Rohrbach, the partner of Dick Grayson, who had been protecting the girl in question. They beat up Rohrbach, "Nuclear Mom" taking a stab, before finding both Grayson and Rachel in Washington, D.C. They entered a fight, ultimately badly injuring Dawn Granger and taking Rachel with them. They headed to Coolville, Ohio, but after Nuclear Dad was killed by Kory Anders and Rachel taken back, the rest of the family headed to Dr. Adamson in Chicago, Illinois, telling him of the bad news. "Nuclear Mom" was noticeably frightened of the potential consequences, but Adamson allowed them another chance. They returned home, where they were met by their new patriarch, "Nuclear Stepdad". They continued on their mission, visiting Gold Star and beating Gerald for information on Dick Grayson and company. They ultimately found the group holed up at Do-Si-Do Motel, but were quickly overpowered and tied up. Accidentally giving away the location of Dr. Adamson, the family's implanted explosives were detonated, blowing off all of their heads.

Powers

When activated for missions, every member of the Nuclear family are given separate syringes to inject an adrenaline like substance that temporary turns their veins the color blue once inserted into the bloodstream which enhances their physical attributes.

• Enhanced strength: The substance granted her increased strength.
• Enhanced durability: She was able to withstand a few blows from Dick Grayson as well as one of his shuriken were thrown into her forehead.

Abilities

• Expert combatant: Nuclear Mom seemed to be very good in close-quarter combat against opponents, though not possessing formal fighting styles usually fights with a cutter combined with her strength capable of going up with highly skilled fighters like Dick Grayson whose at peak physical condition and master of many martial arts.

• In the comics, Mom is an android member of the Nuclear Family. Each possessing powers related to one of the five states of a nuclear explosion, Mom can generate an electromagnetic pulse.
