"Dude, Where's My Gar?" is the ninth episode of the fourth season of Titans, and the forty-sixth episode overall. It premiered on April 20, 2023. It also served as a crossover episode with its spin-off show Doom Patrol and the CW's Stargirl. It also features archival footage from The Flash, Swamp Thing, Teen Titans Go!, Smallville, Superman: The Movie, Harley Quinn, Batman (Dozier), and Shazam.

Synopsis[]

After being separated from the Titans, Gar uncovers long-lost secrets from his past as he confronts his mysterious connection to the Red.

  • This episode marks the return of Gar Logan after a two episode long absence. He was last seen in "Brother Blood".
  • This episode was originally scheduled as episode 7, however was changed to episode 9 in March, 2023.[1]
  • The title is a pun and reference to the 2000 Sci-fi comedy Dude, Where's My Car? starring Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott. [2]
  • This is the first episode of Titans to be co-written by a member of the cast.[3]
  • The crossover was initially teased by Brec Bassinger after she posted a photo of herself in Toronto, dressed as Stargirl alongside Geoff Johns and Ryan Potter.[4]
  • On November 1, 2022, Titans showrunner Greg Walker spoke with ScreenRant about the crossover.[5] He reportedly left Toronto and Geoff Johns came to work on episode 4x07, and then "crazy stuff started happening". He admitted to not seeing the episode at the time of the interview, noting that Geoff works in mysterious ways. He went on to say that they would be lucky to have Stargirl on their show, and that he's a huge fan of the series.
  • Greg Walker confirmed that the photo Bassinger had posted was from the filming of this episode of Season 4 during an interview with Collider.[6]
  • The Monkey being experimented on is Djuba, B'wana Beast's companion from the comics.
