Dave Carter[1] is the Sheriff of Caul's Folly and a loyal acolyte to the Church of Blood. He guards The Horn.
Biography[]
Ten years prior to the Titans' arrival in Caul's Folly, Dave along with many other members of the Church of Blood burned down the original Caul's Folly town and replaced it with their own magical, interdimensional one in order to guard The Horn. Dave is the Keeper and is said to guard the Horn to the death.
When Dick Grayson arrives in Caul's Folly, Dave and many other residents of the town mistake him for the Son of Trigon, as only those with Trigonic blood are able to access Caul's Folly or leave it: all of them unaware of Rachel's existence as the Daughter of Trigon until May Bennett proclaims her a heretic to them. Dave gives the Titans a parking ticket when their RV is parked in a restricted zone, and there meets Dick whom he ends up inviting to a meeting at the town's police station that night. Upon the arrival of the true Son of Trigon and Mother Mayhem, Dave and other brainwashed police officers attack and subdue Dick.[1]
