"Garfield Logan, your days of stripping naked in public are over."
—Bernard to Gar[src]

The Beast Boy Suit is a transformative suit created by Bernard Fitzmartin for Gar Logan as a gift.

History[]

Prior to the Titans visiting S.T.A.R. Labs, Bernard created the technology for the suit in his morphology laboratory among many other projects.[1]

Using this technology he created a suit for Gar in preparation for his visit and its use, unlike other suits such as the Nightwing suit, its primary use is transformative as opposed to protective, so that Gar will no longer have to remove or destroy his clothes in order to transform. Gar was gifted the suit in "Lex Luthor" and upon first use encountered The Red for the first time, and the suit registered that his Alpha waves had fluctuated.

Gar is presumably the only one capable of using the suit due to it having specifically been made to match his genetic shifts.

Design[]

The suit is a full body, one piece red suit made of a lightly protective material capable of shifting with Gar. It has large white pauldrons, one of which has Gar's symbol of a green tiger paw print on it. The ribs and upper underarms have white panels and the sleeves come down into fingerless gloves, one of which remains at all times with an activation button on it and stores the suit within it when not in use. The boots of the suit are knee high and lightly armored, and have individual toes with a grey, padded sole. It has a white belt with a silver buckle or symbol.

Capabilities[]

  • Morphological Adaptation: Gar's suit is uniquely made to his genetics and allows it to shift with him when he transforms into other animals.
  • Adaptational Storage: The suit is designed to be worn at all times as a compact fingerless glove that Gar wears on his left hand with a button on the back to activate its morphological properties.
  • Medical Monitoring: The suit monitors Gar's vital signs while he wears it, and was able to report back an irregularity in his Alpha waves upon first transformation.[1]

Appearances[]

Season 4[]

Trivia[]

  • The suit is styled after Gar's signature jackets worn in previous seasons.
  • Ryan Potter had a hand in the suit's design. He was given a choice between a purple and black color scheme of the animated 2003 Teen Titans iteration, and the classic white and red color scheme from the comics. Potter opted for the white and red as both a fan of Wolfman and Perez, and to remain in keeping with the red/white motif already established in the show with Gar's jackets.[2]
